Amazon Prime: in 2024, over 9 billion products delivered within one day

Amazon continues to accelerate its Prime program. As proof of this, it recently stated that in 2024, it delivered more than 9 billion products within one day to Prime customers worldwide, ensuring even faster deliveries.

How it went in Italy

To further support this claim, Amazon has detailed some regional data. For Italy, it reported that in 2024, each Prime customer saved an average of nearly 135 euros thanks to its fast and cost-free deliveries—an amount equivalent to two and a half times the annual subscription fee for this service.

The use of Same-Day Delivery service is also increasing, particularly in categories such as:

• Home
• Books
• Health
• Personal care

The record for the fastest delivery was set in Brandizzo, in the province of Turin. Here, a customer received the cat food they had ordered in just 207 minutes.

Amazon Prime Same-Day Delivery

Amazon dedicated a few more words to Same-Day Delivery in its recent statement. It reminded customers that the service is currently available in the following cities and surrounding areas:

• Milan
• Rome
• Turin
• Florence
• Genoa
• Padua
• Bologna

It also noted that coverage in Italy includes more than 230 postal codes. Additionally, Prime customers can always take advantage of Same-Day Delivery at no extra cost for eligible orders of at least 29 euros. Eligible orders placed before the end of the morning will be delivered the same day by 7:00 PM or 10:00 PM.

It is worth remembering that Same-Day Delivery is Amazon’s fastest delivery method. It allows Prime customers to shop from millions of products and receive their order conveniently at home or at one of the more than 44,000 pickup points available in Italy.
